I am the sole operator using the Quick Books computer programme on my desktop computer and a laptop computer. I provide accounts for my larger clients on a monthly basis, some are quarterly co-inciding with the relevant VAT return periods, and for many of the smaller, one wo/man businesses, these are annual accounts. I also produce final year end accounts along with the relevant tax returns, be they Corporation Tax Returns, Partnership or Sole Trader Self Assessment returns.
There are a few clients who use my payroll services which are run to match wage and/or salary payments as well as the quarterly production of reports for the payments of PAYE taxes at the appropriate times.
Tax and PAYE Returns
At present, all tax and PAYE returns are sent over the Internet and I am preparing to send V.A.T, returns in a like manner although many of my clients do not wish this method to be used until they are forced so to do.

I prefer to visit all my clients at their premises so that each one knows that his/her business matters are my sole interest at the time I am in each one's company. At these meetings, I am often asked for help and advice which is readily given or will be given should I need to make some research.
Thus, I feel that my small business offers a comprehensive book-keeping facility, accounting requirements, and business advice all rolled into one and for which a reasonable fee is payable, agreed in advance with each client. I only deal with small businesses and the greatest proportion of my clients are in the wide building industry whether they are CIS sub-contractors or building contractors.
